Shepherd University Honors Recital at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts

The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, in association with The Shepherd University Department of Music, will present the annual Shepherd Honors Recital on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm.  The recital is free and open to the public.

Selected from hundreds of performances throughout the year, the Honors Recital showcases the finest of Shepherd University’s student solo and ensemble performances from the past year. The recital provides a unique performance opportunity for students, as well as a chance to showcase the University’s talented musicians. Students participating this year are: Louise Campbell, percussion, Frederick, MD; Melissa McKay, flute, Monrovia, MD; Adrielle Mills, viola, Martinsburg, WV; Chase Remsburg, saxophone, Boonsboro, MD; Ashleigh Stottlemyer, French horn, Frederick, MD; James Townsend, composition, Romney, WV; Hannah Wardell, mezzo-soprano, Ellicott City, MD.

A Piano Duet features Lucas Peterson, piano, Rockville, MD and Matthew Jefferson, piano, Jefferson, MD, and a Guitar Duet features David Browne, guitar, Martinsburg, WV and Andrew Oswinkle, guitar, Baltimore, MD.

The Jazz Trio includes Mary Granofsky, piano, Franklin, WV; Dan Dunn, bass, Ranson, WV; and Sawyer Gaydon, drum set, Martinsburg, WV.
