Gallery Quartet will Perform at the WCMFA

The Gallery Quartet, assisted by guest artist pianist Richard Shroeder, will present a varied program of chamber music at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 2:30 pm.  The concert is free and open to the public. The program will begin with “Trio No. 3, op 87” by Johannes Brahms (1833–1897), a romantic and dramatic composition for violin, cello, and piano. Next on the program will be the “Charming String Quartet, no. 72, op.33, no. 3” by Joseph Haydn (1732–1809). Also included on the program will be the theme from the “Enigma Variations” by Sir Edward Elgar (1857–1934) arranged for String Quartet. Members of the Gallery Quartet include Carl Tretter and Jere Stern, violin; Judson Deitrich, viola; and Fay Rosinski, cello.
