Art in Bloom Weekend at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts

HAGERSTOWN, MD – The 14th Annual Art in Bloom hosted this year by the Hagerstown Garden Club, will display the creativity of interpreting paintings, sculptures and decorative arts using floral arrangements. Garden clubs, educational groups and organizations from the region will participate.

A special Preview Evening catered by LJ’s & The Kat Lounge will be held on Friday, April 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The Preview Evening Reception is $50.00 per person and will allow the attendee to be the first to view the arrangements while they are at their greatest perfection and freshness.

Advanced reservations are available at the Museum or online at www.wcmfa.org. All proceeds of the Art in Bloom weekend benefit free admission and art programs at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. The floral interpretations will continue on view Saturday, April 9, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (admission: $5.00 for Non-Museum Members and FREE for Museum Members), and Sunday, April 10, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (admission is FREE all day).

Saturday Demonstrations: Denny Warrenfeltz from Roostervane Gardens and Ceramic Artist Steven Wright of The Wright Hand Studio will be teaching floral interpretations on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am. The cost is $10.00 per person and registration is required by calling the Museum at 301/739-5727.
